Hello, this is the Asaka Laboratory.
In early September, several members of our lab visited the NTT HISTORY CENTER OF TECHNOLOGIES!

At the center, we were able to explore the history of technological developments mainly related to telephony. Many valuable and historically significant exhibits were on display, and all of our lab members were deeply engaged in the visit.

After going through the historical exhibits, we also had the opportunity to try out making calls using a manual patch panel and a classic black rotary dial phone. Experiencing the communication methods of the past firsthand was truly a valuable and memorable experience!

Here's a group photo taken in front of the “IOWN” exhibit located within the NTT Musashino R&D Center. *IOWN stands for Innovative Optical & Wireless Network.
