From March 6 (Fri) to 8 (Sun), 2026, Sota Natori, a fourth-year undergraduate student in our laboratory, gave a research presentation at the 88th National Convention of the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ) held at Matsuyama University in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture.
This presentation served as a follow-up to a co-researcher's presentation, providing a valuable opportunity to report on the outcomes of our laboratory's Research Theme ② (high-speed offloading control technologies).
The presentation focused on research I have been deeply engaged in since the second half of 2024, titled "Novel High-Speed Offloading Method Using Distributed Data Centers and an All-Photonics Network. "
As this was my first in-person external presentation, there were definitely moments of nervousness beforehand. However, having just completed my graduation thesis presentation shortly before, I was able to stay calm and fully demonstrate the results of my practice on the actual day.
My involvement with this specific research theme will conclude at the end of this academic year. However, I truly hope that the insights gained and the fruitful discussions held at this conference will contribute to the future advancement of distributed data centers and all-optical communication networks, as well as inspire new research directions for our laboratory.
