Nico Surantha’s presentation was selected as the Winner of Energy Shark Tank 2026, held in conjunction with 18th Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference (IEEE PES APPEEC 2026) at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
The presentation title is “GridEye Edge-Intelligence: From limited drone data to real-time power-line inspection“. It introduced our ongoing research on an end-to-end AI-powered framework for power line inspection, integrating intelligent data preparation, AI-based learning, and real-time inference using edge computing on drone-based inspection platforms.
Energy Shark Tank 2026 was an Industry Innovation Session organized by IEEE PES Young Professionals, providing a platform for researchers, young professionals, and innovators to pitch innovative solutions addressing real-world challenges in the power and energy sector. Five selected teams presented their ideas before a panel of industry and academic experts.
This recognition motivates us to further advance our research toward practical and reliable AI-enabled solutions for power infrastructure inspection.
